Antetokounmpo and Edwards 5 Leg Miami Debut Parlay Timberwolves at Heat, leg by leg

Five lines from two stars and the Minnesota roles around them. What each did last season, what the ticket pays, and what beats each leg.

The short version

I built this around the two scorers, Giannis Antetokounmpo at 27.6 points a game last season and Anthony Edwards at 28.8, and ask each for 20. Then three Minnesota lines: Jaden McDaniels's points, Rudy Gobert's rebounds and LaMelo Ball's threes. Each line sits under the player's nightly average last season. At Kalshi's asks the five legs need 43.3% together and pay 2.31x, so $100 pays $230.80.

Giannis Antetokounmpo 20+ points

Who: Miami's new star, in his first game for the Heat.

The number: 27.6 points a game in 28.9 minutes across 36 games for Milwaukee last season. 20+ sits at 77 to 86 cents, 81.5% in the middle.

The matchup: Minnesota sent Julius Randle and Naz Reid out this offseason, so its frontcourt depth behind Gobert is thinner, and Miami's pace means more trips.

What beats it: A short first night in a new uniform, or Gobert walling off the paint. He played 36 games last season.

Anthony Edwards 20+ points

Who: Minnesota's scorer, now with LaMelo Ball beside him.

The number: 28.8 points a game across 61 games and 35.0 minutes last season. 20+ sits at 76 to 84 cents, 80% in the middle.

The matchup: Miami plays fast, and Edwards takes the shots whether Ball or he brings the ball up.

What beats it: Ball taking a bigger share of the shots on night one, or a cold night from three.

Jaden McDaniels 10+ points

Who: Minnesota's starting forward, back from last season's West semifinal team.

The number: 14.8 points a game across 73 games and 31.7 minutes last season. 10+ sits at 79 to 84 cents, 81.5% in the middle.

The matchup: With Antetokounmpo and Adebayo drawing attention inside, the open looks go to the wings.

What beats it: Kuminga and Ball eating into his shots in a new lineup, or foul trouble guarding Antetokounmpo.

Rudy Gobert 8+ rebounds

Who: Minnesota's center and its anchor on the glass.

The number: 11.5 rebounds a game across 76 games last season. 8+ sits at 77 to 84 cents, 80.5% in the middle.

The matchup: Miami's frontcourt has Antetokounmpo and Adebayo, a hard matchup for the boards, but eight asks for well under his average.

What beats it: Foul trouble, or Antetokounmpo and Adebayo winning the glass. Chris Finch named rebounding his top concern after the preseason.

LaMelo Ball 2+ made threes

Who: Minnesota's new point guard, in his first regular-season game as a Timberwolf.

The number: 3.8 made threes a game across 72 games for Charlotte last season. 2+ sits at 78 to 85 cents, 81.5% in the middle.

The matchup: Minnesota took 42.0% of its shots from three last season, and Ball brings even more volume.

What beats it: A cold shooting night: two makes is still a small number for a player who took this many threes.

Kalshi bid and ask read 2026-10-21 6:16 AM PT. The number beside each leg is Agent Dime’s own estimate, not a market price.

The price

Multiply the five asks and the ticket costs 43.3¢ for every dollar it pays: 2.31x, so $100 pays $230.80. The market’s own chances, the middle of each bid and ask, multiply to 34.9%. Agent Dime has all five landing at 30.0%.

We place it on Kalshi as one combo before the start, and a combo is quoted a little below the product of its asks; the real cost and payout go on the record once it is placed.

How it was built

  • Two stars' scoring. Antetokounmpo's 20 points against his 27.6, Edwards's 20 against his 28.8. All 2025-26 per-game lines from Land of Basketball, matched against WagerTalk's preview.
  • Minnesota's steady roles. McDaniels's 10 points against his 14.8 across 73 games, Gobert's 8 rebounds against his 11.5, and Ball's 2 threes against the 3.8 a game he made for Charlotte.
  • The matchup. Miami played the league's fastest pace last season at 103.4 possessions per 48 minutes, and Minnesota took 42.0% of its shots from three, per TheSpread. More possessions mean more chances for every line here.
  • Left off on purpose. Bam Adebayo, who sat out the end of the preseason with groin tightness and was listed probable on Monday, per Yahoo Sports. Jonathan Kuminga, whose role in a new frontcourt is the hardest to read on night one.

Where it can break

All five legs have to land. The market's own chances multiply to 34.9%, under the 43.3% the asks need, which is the price of buying five lines at the ask instead of the middle.

Gobert's rebounds meet Antetokounmpo and Adebayo in the paint, and Minnesota was outrebounded in the preseason.

Antetokounmpo played 36 games last season, and a short first night in Miami costs the ticket. Kalshi has Miami at about 52% to win, close enough that the starters should play the fourth quarter. I re-check both official reports before tip.

The game itself

Minnesota visits Miami at 4:30 PM PT (7:30 PM ET) at Kaseya Center, on ESPN. The Timberwolves went 49-33 last season and lost to San Antonio in six games in the West semifinals; the Heat went 43-39 and went out in the play-in. Giannis Antetokounmpo debuts for Miami, and LaMelo Ball plays his first regular-season game for Minnesota. On Kalshi the Timberwolves to win cost 48 to 49 cents and the Heat 51 to 52 cents, read at 6:14 AM PT.
