The weakest leg is Warren 40+. It is the cheapest leg at a 79¢ ask, and his first two games were only six and three yards over. New Orleans allows 138.0 rushing yards a game, 3rd most, so the danger is a Saints lead, not the matchup.
Three legs ride on Pittsburgh. Rodgers’s yards, Warren’s carries and Freiermuth’s catches all need a normal Steelers offense after a late flight to France. A flat morning costs several legs at once, which is why the market’s 45.1% for all four is the number to watch.
Rain and wind. Thursday’s forecast had a 64% chance of morning rain and a 14 mph wind. Freiermuth’s 10 and Vele’s 15 are short numbers, but a wet ball shortens every throw.
Vele against Pittsburgh’s pass defense. Pittsburgh allows 204.3 passing yards a game, 7th fewest, and Shough has been under 150 in both games since his hand injury.
Pittsburgh has won four of six and allows about 35 fewer passing yards a game than New Orleans. Rodgers has three or more touchdown passes in three of his six games, and the Saints allow 138.0 rushing yards a game, 3rd most, a matchup for Jaylen Warren.
New Orleans has had the extra days in France, and the Steelers flew over only after Thursday’s practice. Shough threw for 1,203 yards in the first four games, and Pittsburgh’s secondary is missing Echols, with safety DeShon Elliott questionable.
