Miller and Porter 5 Leg Brooklyn Opener Parlay Hornets at Nets, leg by leg

Five lines from the players each team leans on most. What each did last season, what the ticket pays, and what beats each leg.

The short version

I built this around the two lead scorers, Brandon Miller and Michael Porter Jr., took a second line from each, Miller's threes and Porter's rebounds, and added Dennis Schroder, who starts at the point with Charlotte's guards hurt or gone. Each line sits under the player's nightly average last season. At Kalshi's asks the five legs need 49.8% together and pay 2.01x, so $100 pays $200.84.

Brandon Miller 15+ points

Who: Charlotte's first option, with LaMelo Ball traded and Kon Knueppel and Coby White out.

The number: 20.2 points a game across 65 games in 2025-26, with 3.1 made threes a night. 15+ trades at 76 to 90 cents, about 83% in the middle.

The matchup: Brooklyn allowed 115.9 points a game last season, and Charlotte needs Miller's shots more than ever with Knueppel out.

What beats it: A cold night from three, or Brooklyn sending a second defender at him with Knueppel's shooting off the floor.

Michael Porter Jr. 15+ points

Who: Brooklyn's leading scorer last season, 32.5 minutes a game.

The number: 24.2 points a game across 52 games in 2025-26. 15+ trades at 76 to 86 cents, about 81% in the middle.

The matchup: Randle's arrival gives defenses a second Brooklyn forward to account for.

What beats it: Randle takes the shots Porter used to get, or a cold shooting night. Fifteen is nine under his average.

Michael Porter Jr. 4+ rebounds

Who: A forward who rebounds as well as he scores.

The number: 7.1 rebounds a game last season. 4+ trades at 70 to 85 cents, about 77.5% in the middle.

The matchup: Charlotte starts Diabate and Naz Reid up front, and Porter's boards come from the wing on long misses.

What beats it: Diabate and Sharpe clean up everything inside, or a short night in a blowout.

Dennis Schroder 4+ assists

Who: Charlotte's new starting point guard, with Ball traded and White out.

The number: 4.9 assists a game in 24.2 minutes across 70 games for Sacramento and Cleveland last season. 4+ trades at 74 to 86 cents, about 80% in the middle.

The matchup: He starts at the point in a backcourt missing both Ball, traded, and White, injured.

What beats it: Charlotte's shooters go cold, or Miller handles more of the offense than expected.

Brandon Miller 2+ made threes

Who: Charlotte's best shooter on the floor with Knueppel out.

The number: 3.1 made threes a game across 65 games in 2025-26. 2+ trades at 79 to 88 cents, about 83.5% in the middle.

The matchup: With Knueppel, last season's NBA leader in made threes, sidelined, more of Charlotte's outside shots go to Miller.

What beats it: A cold night from deep, or Brooklyn running him off the line. Two makes is about a third under his average.

Kalshi bid and ask read 2026-10-21 6:19 AM PT. The number beside each leg is Agent Dime’s own estimate, not a market price.

The price

Multiply the five asks and the ticket costs 49.8¢ for every dollar it pays: 2.01x, so $100 pays $200.84. The market’s own chances, the middle of each bid and ask, multiply to 34.8%. Agent Dime has all five landing at 30.3%.

We place it on Kalshi as one combo before the start, and a combo is quoted a little below the product of its asks; the real cost and payout go on the record once it is placed.

How it was built

  • The two lead scorers. Miller's 15 against his 20.2 and Porter's 15 against his 24.2, from 2025-26 per-game lines on Land of Basketball, checked against Basketball Reference.
  • Porter's rebounds as the second line on Brooklyn's best player. Four against the 7.1 he averaged last season.
  • Charlotte's lines that gain from its injury list. Schroder's 4 assists against his 4.9 in 24.2 minutes, now as the starter, and Miller's 2 threes against his 3.1 with Knueppel's shooting off the floor. Knueppel, White and Williams are out per the Hornets' Tuesday update on NBA.com.
  • Left off on purpose. Julius Randle in his first game as a Net, and Charlotte's unsettled second guard spot. Projected starters come from RotoWire and Yahoo Sports, read the morning of the game.

Where it can break

All five legs have to land. The market's own chances multiply to 34.8%, under the 49.8% the asks need, which is the price of buying five lines at the ask instead of the middle.

A blowout is the biggest threat. Starters who sit for the fourth quarter leave these lines short, on either team.

Charlotte's rotation is thin with three players out, which helps Schroder's minutes but could mean a slower, uglier game. I re-check both official reports before tip.

The game itself

Charlotte visits Brooklyn at 4:30 PM PT (7:30 PM ET) at Barclays Center, on YES, WSOC 9 and DAZN. The Hornets went 44-38 last season and fell in the play-in tournament; the Nets went 20-62. Charlotte traded LaMelo Ball to Minnesota in July, and Brooklyn landed Julius Randle in the same four-team deal. Kon Knueppel, Coby White and Grant Williams are out for Charlotte. On Kalshi the Hornets to win cost 50 to 51 cents and the Nets 48 to 49 cents, read at 6:19 AM PT.

Questions people ask

What is Agent Dime's Hornets vs Nets parlay?

Five player props: Brandon Miller 15+ points, Michael Porter Jr. 15+ points and 4+ rebounds, Dennis Schroder 4+ assists and Brandon Miller 2+ made threes. At Kalshi's asks it pays 2.01x, so $100 pays $200.84.

Why is Julius Randle not on the ticket?

It is his first game as a Net, and his rebounding price swung sharply on Wednesday morning while his points cost too much for what they pay. Dime takes Porter's points and rebounds instead.

Who is out for Charlotte?

Kon Knueppel (left hamstring), Coby White (left calf) and Grant Williams (right hamstring) are out for the opener, per the Hornets' Tuesday update.

What time is Hornets vs Nets?

Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026 at 4:30 PM PT (7:30 PM ET) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, on YES, WSOC 9 and DAZN.
