Commodity markets on Kalshi

A 15-minute commodity contract asks one yes-or-no question: will the price at the end of the quarter hour be at least what it was at the start. It opens on the quarter hour, closes fifteen minutes later, and pays $1 if the answer is yes.

As of September 27, 2026, Kalshi runs these markets on seven commodities: gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper, WTI oil and natural gas. They trade from Sunday 3 PM to Friday 2 PM Pacific, and each settles on a Pyth price, one closing minute against one opening minute.

Six live desks, one more market

Gold was the first with a full desk: chart, the live contract and what a stake pays after fees. Copper, silver and WTI oil followed, each with the gap to the line in cents, then platinum with the gap in dollars and natural gas with the gap in cents.

Coverage

Every 15-minute commodity market

We asked Kalshi's public API for each series one at a time and read the rules on its open window. The prices in the last column are live Kalshi asks, updated every 15 seconds while this page is open.

Series and rules checked against Kalshi's public API on 2026-09-27. If a row here disagrees with what you see on Kalshi, Kalshi is right and we are late.

Up is the Kalshi ask for YES; Down is 100 minus the YES bid. A price in cents reads as the market's chance in percent. A dash means no open window right now, which is normal on Saturdays and in the minute between windows.

Quick answers

Three questions about commodity markets

Which commodities have a 15-minute market on Kalshi?
Seven, as of September 27, 2026: gold (KXGOLD15M), silver (KXSILVER15M), platinum (KXPLATINUM15M), palladium (KXPALLADIUM15M), copper (KXCOPPER15M), WTI oil (KXWTI15M) and natural gas (KXNATGAS15M). Each had an open window when we asked Kalshi's public API for the series directly.
What settles a 15-minute commodity contract?
A Pyth price for that commodity. The rules compare the 1-minute close at the end of the window with the 1-minute close at its start; if the closing price is at least the opening one, the contract resolves yes and pays $1. There is no 60-second average, which is how the crypto contracts settle.
When do the commodity windows trade?
While the underlying futures trade: Kalshi listed gold windows from Sunday 6 PM to Friday 5 PM Eastern, which is 3 PM Sunday to 2 PM Friday Pacific, every quarter hour in between. There are no windows on Saturday.
