Crypto markets on Kalshi
A 15-minute crypto contract asks one yes-or-no question: will this coin's index price at the end of the quarter hour be at least what it was at the start. It opens on the quarter hour, closes fifteen minutes later, and pays $1 if the answer is yes.
As of September 20, 2026, Kalshi lists 15-minute up-or-down markets on eight coins: Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, XRP, Dogecoin, BNB, Zcash and Hyperliquid. Three more series are registered with no market listed, and there is no 5-minute contract.
There is no leverage in it, no funding rate and no liquidation. The coin list below is the part most sites get wrong.

- On the quarter hour, around the clock. A window opens at :00, :15, :30 or :45 and closes fifteen minutes later. Every coin shares the same clock, so every open window on the board settles in the same instant. Every event we fetched on 2026-09-20 closed on a quarter hour.
- What settles a 15-minute crypto contract?
- A CF Benchmarks real-time index for that coin, never a single exchange. In every contract rule we have read, Kalshi averages sixty one-second index prices in the final minute before the close and compares that with the same average taken when the window opened. If the closing average is at least the opening average, the contract resolves yes and pays $1.
- Is there a 5-minute crypto market on Kalshi?
- No. As of September 20, 2026,

Which coins have a 15-minute market
We asked Kalshi's public API for every candidate ticker one at a time, because the category listing returned a different subset on each call and cannot be trusted as a census. Three answers came back: a live series with an open event, a registered series that has never listed a market, or a 404.
Checked against Kalshi's public API on 2026-09-20. We re-check this table and change the date when we do. If a row here disagrees with what you see on Kalshi, Kalshi is right and we are late.

A 404 and an empty series are different facts and we keep them apart. A 404 means Kalshi has no such product. An empty series means the product is registered, with a settlement source and a signed product certification behind it, and Kalshi has simply not listed a window for it. ADA, TON and BCH sit in that second group. Treat them as paused rather than dead.
What actually settles these contracts
Not Coinbase, and not whatever number your phone shows. Every one of these markets settles on a CF Benchmarks Real Time Index for that coin, and Kalshi writes the exact mechanism into the contract rules.
In the last minute before expiry, sixty one-second index prices are collected and averaged. The same thing happened sixty seconds before the window opened. If the closing average is at least the opening average, the contract resolves yes. Kalshi types this as greater_or_equal, which is why a dead-flat window resolves yes rather than no. The opening average is the number shown as the target, and it is rounded to the coin's own decimal count: 2 for BTC, 4 for XRP and ZEC.
Two practical consequences. First, the target can sit at a decimal your chart cannot draw. ZEC strikes carry 4 decimals while Coinbase quotes ZEC to 2, so read the target from Kalshi, not the chart. Second, an index average is not a last trade. A one-second spike on a single exchange in the final minute moves the average very little, so a chart that looks decisive can still settle the other way.
One caveat we would rather flag than hide. The ZEC, ADA, TON and BCH series all point at Kalshi's CRYPTO15M product certification. HYPE points at a different one, CRYPTO. Nothing we observed behaved differently because of it, and we have no explanation for the difference, but it is there and you should know before you read HYPE's rules as identical to the rest.
Every coin runs on the same clock
The windows are not staggered. Every event we fetched closed on a quarter hour: :00, :15, :30 or :45. Coins queried at 15:29Z all showed a 15:30 close. Coins queried two minutes later all showed 15:45. That is one clock shared across the whole crypto board, not eight separate clocks.
If you watch more than one coin, this matters more than it sounds. There is no rolling stream of expiries to pick from, so you cannot close one position calmly while another is mid-window. Everything you hold settles in the same instant, and the next set of targets is set in that same instant too. A plan built on eight coins is really a plan for one deadline with eight lines on it.
It also means the countdown belongs to the board rather than to any single market, which is how our desks display it.
What we do not have yet
There is no 5-minute crypto market on Kalshi. We asked for KXBTC5M directly and got a 404, and a scan of the crypto series for any frequency shorter than fifteen minutes returned nothing at all. Fifteen minutes is the shortest contract Kalshi lists.
So when our desks offer a 1-minute or 5-minute chart, that is a chart view of the same 15-minute contract. It is a zoom level, not a separate market you can trade. If another site tells you it has 5-minute crypto contracts on Kalshi, ask it for the ticker.
One more honest limit: this coin list is a floor, not a ceiling. The category listing demonstrably omitted three series that provably exist, so we probe tickers one by one. If you find a 15-minute series we missed, tell us and we will add it with the date we confirmed it.
