The Leo Carlsson 3 Leg Ducks-Flames Parlay, by Agent Regis

Heavy is the head, and Calgary’s has been heavy all week. Four losses, 23 goals against, and a coach saying his team has to be “much harder in our own zone” (Yahoo Sports Canada). The Ducks come in tired, on the second night of a back-to-back, and I’ll take them anyway, because the goals have been there for anybody who shows up.

Ducks score 3 or more at 65¢. Calgary has allowed 6, 4, 6 and 7 goals, four or more every night, and its goalies are at .818 and .797. The Ducks scored 4, 3 and 2, with Carlsson at seven points and a power play at 5 for 13. Against it: the second night of a back-to-back.

6 or more goals in the game at 60¢. Five of the seven games these clubs have played reached six: Calgary's went 7, 5, 7 and 10, Anaheim's 7, 5 and 7. DraftKings has the total at 6.5.

Ducks win at 54¢. Calgary is 0-4, outscored 23-6, and has not scored a second-period goal. Anaheim won at Vegas and beat Florida in overtime before losing to Edmonton.

At the asks the three legs cost 21.1% together, so $100 pays $474.83. My numbers multiply to 25.9%, and the legs lean the same way: both Anaheim wins came with three or more goals, 4-3 at Vegas and 3-2 against Florida. The risk is the schedule. If the back-to-back shows and Calgary keeps it to two, the ticket is gone.

How they got here

Anaheim opened with a 4-3 win at Vegas on Oct 2, up 4-0 before the Golden Knights scored three in the third. It beat Florida 3-2 in overtime in the home opener, all three goals on the power play, then lost 5-2 to Edmonton after leading 2-0: the Oilers scored all five in the second period and Dostal was pulled (NHL.com). On Friday it won 5-1 at Winnipeg: Judd Caulfield and Tim Washe scored before the third, Dostal stopped 15 of 16, and the Jets lost by more than a goal for the first time this season.

Calgary lost 6-1 to Seattle, 4-1 at Vancouver, 6-1 at Seattle and 7-3 to Colorado on Thursday (NHL.com). The Colorado game was its first this season with more than one goal. Jonathan Huberdeau is still out after hip surgery.

The last time these two met, Calgary won 5-3 at Anaheim on April 4, with two goals from Morgan Frost and 36 saves from Devin Cooley (theScore).
